Thanks to an LED matrix system, this module achieves brightness levels of approx. 100,000 lx for the light color white. And that in continuous operation.
The robust 2 mm aluminum housing also acts as a heat sink.

The LED backlight can be triggered powerless by an optocoupler switching input. This reacts to every rising edge from 5 V TTL to 24 V PLC.
Weitere externe Controller sind nicht notwendig, da eine Stromsteuerung in die LED-Beleuchtung verbaut wurde. Eine Dimmung über ein PWM-Signal auf der Betriebsspannung ist möglich.

The light can be equipped for a wide range of applications in industrial image processing in various white tones, but also in monochrome light colors from approx. 380 to 940 nm.This means that the light color can be optimally adapted to the industrial camera and the test object.

Mounting brackets are supplied with the lights.These can also be rotated depending on the mounting options.

This assembly uses modern edge lighting. Our construction enables a flat design of only 20 mm. Nevertheless, illuminated surfaces from 40 x 40 mm to 1220 x 1880 mm can be realized in one piece.

In lights with light guides, the LEDs are only located at the edges. The light guide calculated by planistar achieves extremely homogeneous illumination at a lower price compared to matrix lighting. The use of fewer LEDs is particularly noticeable in the price of large illuminated areas.

The LED backlight can be triggered without power by an optocoupler switching input. This reacts to every rising edge from 5 V TTL to 24 V PLC.
No other external controllers are required, everything is built into the light. The operating indicator shows whether the operating voltage and signal are connected.
The LED panel lights can be dimmed using a PWM signal via the operating voltage.

The lamp can be equipped for a wide range of industrial image processing applications in various white tones, but also in monochrome light colors from approx. 490 to 625 nm.

These luminaires are designed for applications where limited space is available or where weight
is an issue. The luminaire can be easily mounted in the system using the mounting brackets.

No further external controllers are required, as a current controller is already integrated in the fixture.

Due to the flat technology, this design can only be fitted in the light color white.

Lighting technology

Most of our lighting works with edge lighting and a light guide. As planistar had the patent for the edge lighting of light sources and light distribution using a dot grid, we also have the knowledge to calculate and produce any size.
Our surface light guides have the advantage of maintaining uniform light distribution over the entire service life. The failure of an LED row in the edge area has virtually no effect on the uniformity in the measuring range. With a matrix system, on the other hand, a dark spot is immediately visible.

For some applications, however, a conventional matrix system is more suitable. Thanks to our sophisticated design of these lights, we can also supply you with devices with good homogeneity and very high light intensity. These backlights for image processing are usually very bright, making it possible to reduce motion blur with short exposure times.

Electronics

In our lights, the LED controllers are already built into the light. This prevents operating errors and accidental damage due to overcurrent.

In order to achieve optimum interaction between the LED and the control unit, the electronics are also developed in-house and manufactured exclusively for us by a regional company.

Thermal management

The days when LEDs did not generate any heat are long gone. Due to increasingly powerful technology, it is important to ensure optimum heat management for the entire luminaire.

Because the only death for an LED is heat death. For this reason, the heat at the LEDs determines the service life of the entire luminaire.

Our mostly 2 mm aluminum housings serve as a large cooling surface, which can be supported by additional heat sinks depending on the application.
