planistar can offer its customers a wide range of incident light illumination systems for industrial image processing. Whether matrix system or edge lighting system.
If you cannot find a suitable product in our extensive standard range, we will be happy to offer you LED lighting that meets your requirements.
As we are the manufacturer of the lights ourselves, we can offer customized lights with short delivery times and at reasonable prices.
Thanks to an LED matrix system, this module achieves brightness levels for the light color white of approx. 115,000 lx at a distance of 20 cm in flash mode.
The special feature of this module is that these flat domes have been developed for both continuous operation and flash mode. This means that they can be set up in continuous mode and later operated in flash mode. The switching inputs react from 5 V TTL up to 24 V PLC to every rising edge.
No additional external controllers are required, everything is built into the light. The internal microprocessor prevents damage to the LEDs due to excessive flashing and controls the pulse-pause ratio.
The light can be used for a wide range of industrial image processing applications. In addition to the standard light colors white and red, the lights can also be equipped with other monochrome light colors from approx. 380 to 940 nm on request.
This module uses modern edge lighting. The design enables a flat module of only 20 mm. It is possible to realize sizes ranging from small to very large.
In luminaires with light guides, the LEDs are only located at the edges. The sophisticated light guide achieves extremely homogeneous illumination at a lower price compared to matrix lighting. The lower use of LEDs is particularly noticeable in the price of large illuminated areas.
These flat domes also have both operating modes. They can be set up in continuous mode and later operated in flash mode. The switching inputs react from 5 V TTL up to 24 V PLC to every rising edge. A 1-10 V interface is also integrated.
No additional external controllers are required, everything is built into the luminaire. For large luminaires in particular, it is important to us that capacitor packs are integrated to provide the required current for flashing. This reduces the absorption current in the supply line (EMC safety, voltage drop) and puts less stress on the power supply unit.
The light can be used for a wide range of industrial image processing applications to achieve homogeneous, diffuse and shadow-free illumination of test parts. The possible light colors in this series are white and red.
This is precisely where our strength lies. Because planistar manufactures the lights in-house, we can produce customised backlighting with short delivery times.
So you don't have to follow our standard programme. We adapt exactly to your requirements and the conditions on site.
This saves you costs in theOur production processes are planned in such a way that a customised light has almost the same throughput as a standard light. The only difference is that the customised luminaire is precisely documented. This means that we are able to supply replacements even years later.
Benefit from the co-operation with planistar.
Lights direct from the manufacturer
When revising our product series, we always take sustainability into account, as many little things add up to a big picture.
This starts with saving resources and energy, the right choice of materials we use, right through to packaging and disposal.
Most of our lighting works with edge lighting and a light guide. As planistar had the patent for the edge lighting of light sources and light distribution using a dot grid, we also have the knowledge to calculate and produce any size.
Our surface light guides have the advantage of maintaining uniform light distribution over the entire service life. The failure of an LED row in the edge area has virtually no effect on the uniformity in the measuring range. With a matrix system, on the other hand, a dark spot is immediately visible.
For some applications, however, a conventional matrix system is more suitable. Thanks to our sophisticated design of these lights, we can also supply you with devices with good homogeneity and very high light intensity. These reflected lights for image processing are usually very bright, making it possible to reduce motion blur with short exposure times.
In our LED light fittings, the LED controllers are always built into the lights. This prevents operating errors and accidental damage.
In order to achieve optimum interaction between the LED and the control unit, the electronics are also developed in-house and manufactured exclusively for us by a regional company.
The installation of the controller in the fitting offers a decisive advantage, especially for applications with flash operation. The very high and short flash current is generated and stored in the luminaire. The currents in the supply line can thus be reduced accordingly. This principle helps to reduce the risk of EMC interference.
The internal microcontroller monitors the pulse-pause ratio and only allows a new pulse after 1:5. This prevents the LEDs from overheating and being damaged by the flash mode.
The days when LEDs did not generate any heat are long gone. Due to increasingly powerful technology, it is important to ensure optimum heat management for the entire luminaire.
Because the only death for an LED is heat death. For this reason, the heat at the LEDs determines the service life of the entire luminaire.
Our mostly 2 mm aluminum housings serve as a large cooling surface, which can be supported by additional heat sinks depending on the application.
Our team will be at your disposal for any questions you may have. We will process your request as soon as possible.
